Kenneth Lee Watts, 80 of Saxe, passed away on Saturday, March 29. He was born on June 8, 1944, to the late Nathaniel and Lester Watts. Kenneth was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Smith and her husband, Robert; two brothers, Rev. Bob Watts and his wife, Sandra, and Charles Watts and his wife, Susan.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Faye M. Watts; three sons, Mickey Douglas and his wife, Kim, Phillip Watts and his wife, Jennifer, and Joey Watts and his wife, Melissa; five grandsons, Derek, Mason, Axel, Zane and Nate; three brothers, Billy Watts and his wife, Betty of Keysville, David Watts and his wife, Sherrie of Matthews, and Tommy Watts of Keysville; and numerous cousins and friends. He was a loving husband, daddy, papa, and brother to his family.

Kenneth worked for VDOT for 31 years as a motor grader operator. He enjoyed working on the farm from a young age and had a love for animals. He enjoyed raising rabbits, and was an avid gardener who loved sharing his vegetables with friends and neighbors. Kenneth never met a stranger and he was known as the birthday song singer to many. He knew Jesus Christ and can now have an eternal life in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 3, at New Hope Methodist Church, Randolph. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad or New Hope Methodist Church. 

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville is in charge of arrangements.
