ANNUAL BANQUET, 5 p.m. at Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville. This event is sponsored by the Charlotte Chapter #147 Order of the Eastern Star. The C.E.J. Gospel Singers will render the music. For more information contact (434) 568-6621 or (434) 736-8074.
STEW, at Antioch Baptist Church to benefit the Charlotte County Meals on Wheels. Brunswick stew will be prepared by stew master Scott Winn. Call Charlotte County Meals on Wheels to preorder no later than 5 p.m. April 2. Stew may be picked up at Concord Baptist Church in Chase City 8:30-9:30 a.m. or at Sheldon’s in Keysville and the Drakes Branch Pavilion at 10:30 a.m.
April 8
MEN’S DAY SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Roanoke Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. The Rev. Ervin Booker of Amelia will be the guest preacher, along with a choir to render the music. All are invited.
DEACONS, DEACONESSES AND TRUSTEES SERVICE, 3 p.m. at the St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. The Rev. Henry L. Fleshman, Jr., and the choir from Springfield Baptist will render the music. Deaconesses are asked to wear white. Everyone is welcome.
ANNIVERSARY, 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. The church will celebrate Pastor James E. Holcomb and first lady Holcomb’s 25th anniversary. The guest minister will be the Rev. James Hurt of New Bethel Church in Rice. Music will be rendered by the combined choir.
