The month of April is just about over. This month we were able to celebrate the death burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to take this time to say how thankful I am that I have a God that loves and cares for me. Even when I don’t understand why things are happening around me, he does.

For the last few months I have literally been running from day to day trying to help a family member with doctor visits and hospital stays. This person is elderly and greatly impaired with hearing and seeing. It has been a challenge just to interact with him. But, the Lord knows why I have been put in a position to be the person to help. Because I am helping with this person’s needs, I have had to put off doing things that I normally would have finished by now. Also, it has made me see how much people depend on the hospitals and doctors to supposedly make them well. It has caused me to consider myself and future health, and I realize more than ever that I don’t want to succumb to medications and chemicals that are greatly used in our medical system. It seems to only make matters worse. There’s a song I would like to write about that really says more than I can about how I feel.

“GOD’S BEEN GOOD”

Lately I’ve been looking back along this winding road

To the old familiar markers of the mercies I have known

I know it may sound simple, but it’s more than I can share

There’s no better way to tell you than to say

God’s been good in my life

I’ve been blessed beyond my wildest dreams as I go to sleep each night

And though I’ve had my share of hard times, by my side he’s always stood

Cause through it all, God’s been good.

Times replay and I can see, I’ve cried some bitter tears

But I felt his arms around me, as I face my darkest fears

You see I’ve had more gains than losses, And I’ve known more joy than hurt

As his grace falls down upon me underserved

God’s been good in my life

I’ve been blessed beyond my wildest dreams as I go to sleep each night

And though I’ve had my share of hard times, by my side he’s always stood

Cause through it all, God’s been good.

For God has been my father, my Savior and my friend

His love was my beginning and his love will be my end

I could spend forever trying to tell you everything he is

There’s no better way to tell you than to say

God’s been good in my life!
