A Drakes Branch area man is being held at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office following a Sunday morning break-in that resulted in the suspect fleeing the scene.
According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, “at 10:08 a.m., dispatchers at the Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Drakes Branch area about a home being broken into and that the suspect was still in the home.”
The suspect, identified as Donnell Reshawn High, 28, is from the Drakes Branch area.
“When the first deputy arrived, he advised the suspect had left the scene running toward the Town of Drakes Branch,” said the release. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department also requested additional assistance from the Virginia State Police and the Mecklenburg Sheriff’s Office.
