Ida Mary ‘Mae’ Roberts formerly of Drakes Branch, Virginia peacefully returned to her maker on Friday, November 23, 2018 in New Jersey. She was born on July 20, 1926 to the late Alice Vencena Barbee and Robert Henry Lambert.

Ida Mae was married to the late Lewis Stevenson Roberts and to this union eight children were born. Ida was lovingly called “Mama” by her family. She spent her life raising her family from her own children to her grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Roberts, four children, Alfred Roberts, Linda Callaham, Sherman and Lloyd Roberts. Ida leaves to cherish many memories, two daughters, Alice Goodson and Hazel Jones; two sons Robert Roberts (Joan) and Lawrence Roberts; 27 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 61 great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, Earnest Callaham; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held Friday, November 30, at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch with interment in the Brown Memorial Garden Cemetery in Saxe, Virginia.
