A mission to provide warmth

Editor,

For the past 30 years, Keysville United Methodist Church has pursued a mission to provide all Charlotte County Public School students with a warm coat. This project has proven to be a very worthwhile experience. With the help of the teachers and administration, children are identified as possibly needing a coat. All names that are provided to our church receive a brand-new coat.

This endeavor could not happen without all of the support of our local community, civic organizations and fellow churches. One hundred percent of all monies donated to this cause go directly to the purchase of coats. In this season of giving, I am asking all who feel led to give to such a worthy cause. Together, we can make a difference here in Charlotte County. All checks need to be made payable to KUMC and note “Coat Project” in your memo. Please mail your donations to Betty Harding at 185 Priddy St., Keysville, VA 23947.
