MARCH 6

LENTEN LUNCHEON, noon at Keysville United Methodist Church, Church Street, Keysville. Bring a sandwich, drinks and dessert will be provided. The speaker will be Pastor Freedman Kim, Keysville UMC.

DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL SIGN-UPS, 4-6 p.m. at the ball field, Wylliesburg, for ages four to 12. Bring copy of birth certificate.

MARCH 7

VENDOR MEETING, 6 p.m. at the Pamplin Depo for the Pamplin Community Farmers Market. Vendors are needed for this year’s market. The market will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. starting May 18 and continuing until Oct. 12.

MARCH 8

SPAGHETTI SUPPER, 5:30-8 p.m. at Trinity Gospel Church, 9470 Kings Hwy., U.S. Route 360, Drakes Branch.

PIEDMONT COALITION FOR PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE, 6-7 p.m. at Bacon District Fire House. Come and hear a presentation on the growing problem in our county and what we can do.

MONTHLY COMMUNITY MEETING, 7-8 p.m. at Bacon District Fire House and learn what will be on the Agenda at March Board of Supervisors meeting. Meeting hosted by Kay Pierantoni, Wylliesburg/Red Oak Supervisor.

FOURTH SEMESTER, 6 p.m. of The Evans-Smith Institute at Keysville. Only one class is offered in Christian Studies: 21st Century Ministry. All Christians are welcome to attend. As usual this is a five session two hour class. For details, call Dr. Herman Lundy, Coordinator at (434) 774-7511.

ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The Rev. James E. Goode, pastor of the church, will deliver the message each night. A different choir will sing each night. Everyone is welcome to attend.

MEALS ON WHEELS WINTER GALA, 6 p.m. at the SVCC Workforce Center in Keysville. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Charlotte County Meals on Wheels Office at (434) 736-8441, from any board member or at the door.

HANDBAG BINGO 2-4 p.m. at Bacon District Fire Department, Wylliesburg to benefit The Barksdale Cancer Foundation.

WOMEN, MEN DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church, Fort Mitchell. There will be different guest speakers. Ladies in white or beige. Everyone welcome.

ANNUAL SPRING/ YOUTH REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. nightly at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1303 Mt. Zion Road, Red House. Pastor Frederick Anderson, Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Gretna will be the guest pastor. Song, prayer and praise service begins at 7 p.m.

SPRING YOUTH REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Baptist Church. Prayer and praise will begin each night at 7 p.m. Different guest speakers each night.

MARCH 22

MOAA TO MEET, 1 p.m. at Riverside Café in Farmville. Scott Miller, assistant director of VA Department of Veterans’ Services Cemetery Agency, who oversees the Amelia Cemetery, will share information about these services for veterans and spouses. A self-pay lunch will follow. All active, former and retired military officers and spouses are welcome to attend.

MARCH 23

EUREKA COLOR RUN, 10 a.m. All ages welcome. Proceeds benefit Eureka’s SOAR program.

ART SHOW OPENING RECEPTION, 6-8 p.m. at the Randolph-Henry High School Library. A meet and greet with the artists will be held and refreshments will be provided. Artwork will be for sale. Participants must be a student at Randolph-Henry. This event is sponsored by the Randolph-Henry High School Art Club and Library Club.

MARCH 31

CONCERT, 3 p.m. by Sandy Creek Gospel Bluegrass Band at Rough Creek Presbyterian Church. There will be refreshments following the concert and all are welcome to attend. The church is located at 110 Rough Creek Road, 3 miles north of Phenix on Hwy. 727.

SPRING CONCERT, 7:30 p.m. The Chorale and Longwood University’s Chamber Singers and Camerata Singers, under the direction of Dr. Pamela McDermott, Director of Choral Activities at Longwood at Jarman Auditorium, 201 High St., Farmville, on the Longwood campus.
