Historian Bob Flippen will be the guest speaker at The Charlotte County APVA spring meeting, Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Tucker Brother’s Store, 200 David Bruce Ave., Charlotte Court House.

Flippen was an education specialist for High Bridge State Park and has written and contributed to many books and articles helping to preserve the history of our area. He will present a Powerpoint program entitled “High Bridge: Lee’s Lost Gamble.” Flippen will also have copies of his books as well as others of historical interest for sale.

The public is invited for this program. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
