Staunton River Battlefield State Park will explore its new Wilson’s Run Trail on Friday, at 11:30 a.m., and invites those interested to attend.

The 2-mile trail will open on New Year’s Day.

The exploring event will be held every two hours and will end at 5:30 p.m.

Participants will get to see local wildlife and learn about the history of the Battle of Staunton River Bridge.
