Suspected marijuana plants seized

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was involved in an investigation that led to the seizure of suspected marijuana plants and paraphernalia in the Victoria area of Lunenburg County, a release noted.
According to the release on Aug. 18, the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Victoria Police Department and the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force, comprised of narcotics investigators from the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Appomattox Field Office, executed a search warrant.
“The investigation led to the seizure of 13 suspected marijuana plants and marijuana paraphernalia,” the release cited.
The release went on to say, “Charges are pending completion of the investigation and lab analysis by the Virginia Division of Forensic Science.”
