A joint public hearing between the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors and planning commission will be held on Monday, April 13, at 6 p.m. to hear public comments in regard to a conditional use permit (CUP) application by U.S. Cellular for the construction of a cell phone tower.

According to the permit application, U.S. Cellular is applying for the CUP for the construction of a 155-foot monopole cell tower on property owned by Blue Rock Resource located on Mapleton Road in the Madisonville area.

The site is approximately half a mile from the intersection of Thomas Jefferson Highway and Harvey Road.
