These past few weeks we have been talking about being dedicated with our life management to God.  Let us look a little deeper.

There is a concept that I learned about years ago, used in marketing. It is related to spinning plates. I am sure you have seen the people on a talent show or in a circus and they are able to spin multiple plates.  This concept is applied to many business trainings and is also a good analogy for everyday life.  You start with one plate and then as time goes on you add more plates. However, you must keep all the plates spinning.  If applied to everyday life it would be the idea of trying to get all your goals done in one day or short span of time.  The truth of the matter, some days there is just not enough hours. So, something may just have to wait until another day and then you can get it done. Managing life is not always easy, but it is necessary. 

I bring this up because as we are approaching one holiday after another, most of us will not have normal schedules. Life will be extra loaded. Just like spinning plates, one right after the next.  As a believer, how do we juggle this busyness and still cultivate our relationship with God?

The Word tells us, “Then he told them: Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world.” (Mark 16:15)

First, in order for a person to preach or share the Gospel they must have some knowledge of the Word.  Matthew gives us a more instructive translation, “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ (Matthew 10:7) Can you see ‘as you go?’  Most people can accomplish sharing what they know throughout their day. When they go to the post office or pick up groceries, and maybe have the car serviced. There is even break time at work.  We talk about everything else, so why not talk about the goodness of God?

The Lord tells us if we open our mouths, He will fill it.  I encourage you, as you obtain understanding of who God is and why others need to know Him, simply share what you know.  Soon you will have habits that glorify God, as you fulfill His great commission.  Through God’s goodness and His wisdom, He has equipped us, so that we do not have to spin plates.   At times, I am sure it feels like it. We just need to take a deep breath and include God throughout our day, throughout our conversations and throughout our actions. Then people will hear and see the good news through you.
