The Keysville Town Council announced on Friday, Nov. 13 that the annual Christmas Parade will not be held this year.
“For the safety of our volunteers, participants, and spectators due to COVID-19, we feel it is necessary to cancel this time-honored event for 2020,” town officials said.
On Nov. 13, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam issued new statewide measures to further mitigate the spread of the virus, including limiting gatherings to 25 people.
All public and private in-person gatherings must be limited to 25 individuals, down from the current cap of 250 people. This includes outdoor and indoor settings.
