The Keysville Garden Club met at Ash Camp Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at noon on Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. Carol Alderman called the meeting to order. Velda Agee gave the secretary’s report.
Doris Claybrook presented the treasurer’s report.
The artist’s exhibit titled “Woodland Treasure” was very outstanding. Blue ribbon winners were Beth Graves, Velda Agee, Doris Claybrook; red ribbons winners were Carol Alderman and Lillian Duffie, who was also the hostess.
The group travelled to the Orchid House in Green Bay to hear Thomas and Robyn Voytilla, who have been raising orchids since 1998, speak. Soon after they discovered a passion for orchids, Thomas learned of the hydroponic growing method. He has now refined the growing technique with experience to bring its advantage and ease to all orchid lovers both novice and experienced.
