More than 1,500 Dominion Energy customer are without power Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. as the area begins to experience the effects of a major ice storm.

The Dominion Energy outage map showed 987 customers without power in the area between Keysville and Drakes Branch. The outage cause was listed as a damaged power line. The Dominion outage website said crews have been dispatched to investigate and repair the issue.

A separate outage consisting of four different issues has 445 customers without power in the Charlotte Court House area.

Another 116 customers are also without power in the Cullen area.
