Unless you really know me, I am a little scrapper with God from time to time.  There are certain things in life that are “unacceptable” to me. One, I am not big on medicine.  I think you need it when you need it, and I am very slow as I get older to accept circumstances beyond my control.  I respect doctors and appreciate their education. However, I have been so blessed to have God take care of me when I had something major come up. Well, sometimes God uses the professionals to heal us and that is just the way it is.  This child of God, however, just thinks that God should heal me without any intervention because I belong to Him and He is my Daddy – so that is how I feel about it.  He paid for it at Calvary, and so I should have full access.  I am quite the spoiled child, yes?

The Word praises the Lord:  “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.” (Psalm 103:1-5)

So, my belief is that he does heal all my diseases.  However, I know that healing comes in three different forms: miracle, physician or to see Him face to face.  If I see Him face to face, then I am with Him and there is nothing to worry about.  I am then made whole.  Amen!

I am satisfied as the Scriptures state!  I lack no faith and know who I belong too.  I am very confident in the Lord and I do not except less.  However, the Truth is that many lovely Christ Followers have dealt with cancer and all kinds of sickness and disease.  They believe for healing and the on-lookers think; if they move in with Jesus – that they have somehow, “lost the fight.”

If there is anything I am certain of in my life as a Christ Follower, the “fight” has already been won.  It was paid for at Calvary.  Therefore, our decaying bodies in a sinful world are just that.  A Christ Follower will ultimately always end up with Jesus.  No matter what the circumstance.  We believe, and He receives us as His own.

Christ Followers, be encouraged this week. Pray for those who are sick, who are hurting, who are lost. Remember who you belong to and be satisfied with all your benefits.
