On Tuesday, April 26, the Statesmen of Randolph-Henry High School (R-H) hosted the Eagles of Prince Edward County High School in a back and forth match up.

The Eagles batted in one run in the top of the first with a RBI single by Maurice Hurt. The Statesmen would answer back in the bottom of the second with three runs of their own. Jayden Gee singled, followed by two walks that loaded the bases for the Statesmen. A clutch two out hit by Andru Lee followed up by a double from Ben Gibbs allowed the Statesmen to take a 3-1 lead. However, the lead would not last long as the Eagles tied things up in the top of the third from a lead off walk, double by Maurice Hurt and a single by Andreas Noraas.

Jett Algeier would enter the game on the mound for the Statesmen and not surrender another run. The Statesmen would take control of the game in the fourth by scoring a run and three runs in the sixth. The Statesmen would win by a score of 7-3. Ben Gibbs, Junior Powell and Andru Lee all had two hits in this game.

On Thursday, April 28 the Statesmen hosted the Chargers of Central High School of Lunenburg County. The Statesmen would use a fine pitching performance by Luke Skelton and a multi home run game by Jayden Gee to outlast the Chargers 11-1. A single by Camden Tucker and Brayson Arrington followed by a walk from Andru Lee would load the bases for Ben Gibbs. Ben Gibbs reaches first and scores the first run of the ballgame off an error. Central would score its only run of the night from a double by Dillon Ball and a single by Hunter Word. Jayden Gee would follow things up with a two run blast over the left field wall. Both teams would play a clean game until the bottom of the sixth when Jayden Gee strikes again, but this time with a grand slam over the left field wall.

On Tuesday, May 3 the Statesmen traveled to play the Ameila County High School Raiders. The Statesmen would rack up 11 hits during this contest. The Statesmen would get on the scoreboard early from a two run homerun by Jayden Gee in the top of the first. The Statesmen would score another run in the top of the third from a single by Jayden Gee. Kevin Eames would score that run as a courtesy runner for Junior Powell who was hit by a pitch. Jett Algeier would get the start for the Statesmen and pitch six innings with seven strikeouts. The Statesmen would use a big fifth inning to score six runs and pull away from the Raiders with a 9-1 lead. The Raiders did fight back in the bottom of the sixth and seventh scoring a pair of runs in both innings. Luke Skelton would come into the game in the seventh to close the door as the Statesmen win in Amelia with a final score of 10-5.

On Thursday, May 5, the Statesmen hosted the Knights of Buckingham County High School. This game would be a tight one as a two out single in the top of the second inning by Jacob Carter would score two runs for the Knights. Additionally, the Knights would add a run in the top of the fifth inning by a sac fly from Justin Gunter. The Statesmen would strand runners on the bases until the bottom of the fifth inning when a single by Junior Powell would score a run. This would be the only run the Statesmen would be able to punch in as they fell 3-1 to the Knights.

The Statesmen have four remaining games of the regular season and sit at a 11-5 record on the season.
