Mr. Samuel Brogden Jr., age 64 of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away on February 26, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of Mrs. Martha Brogden and the late Mr. Samuel Brogden, Sr.

He served his country for 25 years in the United States Army and received numerous degrees, certifications and awards in HVAC, electrician, CID and engineering. After his military service, he continued his career at Boeing Industries in Chantilly, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Mae Brogden of the home; his children, Samuel Louis Brogden, Sherrell Brogden, and Shereca Brogden; grandchildren, Amani Laws and Felicity Pisek; his mother, Mrs. Martha Brogden; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Lemon (Burnett) of Richmond, Mrs. Geraldine Jackson (Carlton) of Brookneal, and Mrs. Joan Faggins (Weldon) of Charlotte Court House; three brothers, Mr. Alonza Brogden of Phenix, Mr. Randy Brogden (Loretta) of Charlotte Court House and Mr. Joel Brogden (Tammy) of Chesterfield, Va.; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Ollie Smith; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Brogden; six additional sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Martha Goodlett and husband Robert, Herman and Alberta Brogden.

Funeral services with military honors were held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House with interment in the church cemetery.
