The Randolph-Henry High School (R-H) FFA Forestry Team, above, placed second at the Southeast Area Forestry Competition. At the contest, members identified trees and forestry equipment. They also completed activities on timber stand improvement, maps, and estimation of board-foot volume. Also, R-H FFA members Lily Sutphin and Eleana Toland, pictured at left, attended the Virginia Tech Block and Bridle horse judging clinic. They learned how to judge conformation and performance classes. They were also taught how to develop and present a set of oral reasons.
