Every year, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), in conjunction with the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB), tours each county in the Lynchburg District, which includes Charlotte County. Shannon Valentine, member of the CTB, toured Charlotte and Prince Edward counties last week. The tour started in Charlotte Court House viewing the sidewalk project on Evergreen Avenue and then went to the intersection of Route 47 and U.S. Hwy. 360 (Crafton’s Gate). The group then traveled to Heartland Park to view where an access/turning lane is projected to be constructed.
