Statesmen baseball recently had another alumnus, Jordan Jones, come and speak to their team about his experiences playing at Randolph-Henry. Jones graduated in 2018 and then played at Eastern Mennonite University for four years. He is now staying involved with baseball from a different perspective by working for Prep Baseball Report (PBR) as a baseball scout for Central Virginia. Jones spoke on the legacy of Randolph-Henry baseball and how he still thinks about all the memories he had with his teammates. He encouraged the team to work hard and enjoy the time they have with their brothers on the team. He stated that Statesmen baseball has a legacy of success that comes with doing things the right way and that’s how he wants it to continue. He also stated to not take a practice off, a play-off, or a pitch-off because you never know when it may be your last.
