Charlotte Chapter #147 Order of the Eastern Star of Keysville observed Whit Sunday Service at the Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House on Sunday, May 28. Several members assembled to worship with the congregation. Whit Sunday is another way of saying Pentecost, which is observed on the 50th day after Easter. After the service, one of the Order’s long-serving members was honored. Vernelle Dews and Worthy Matron, left, presented Sarah Edmendson, Past Matron a 25 year certificate of membership.
