Annette Clowdis, center, received the WoodmenLife Fraternalist of the Year award for the state of Virginia from Robert Blake, right, Virginia State Manager for WoodmenLife and Kathryn Mobley, left, WoodmenLife National Board of Directors. Clowdis was nominated by local chapter members for her work with chapter #179 of Wylliesburg and dedication to community service. Clowdis currently serves as the Wylliesburg Chapter secretary, is a Truckers Parade Against Cancer Team Member, participates in fund raising events for the Barksdale Foundation and serves as a WoodmenLife National Representative for the state of Virginia. Her state nomination was also passed on to WoodmenLife Home Office in Omaha, Nebraska for consideration at the national level where she was named as runner up. Clowdis has spent her entire working life dedicated to serving the people of Charlotte County through her work at the Charlotte County Circuit Court, Lebanon Church, Charlotte County Dixie and through high school sports as well as the charitable organizations named above.
