An important component of the elementary school curriculum is writing. Mrs. Bradley’s second-grade class at Phenix Elementary School wrote a fictional story this semester about what might happen if a snowman followed them home one day. They wrote rough drafts, peer-edited the drafts, penned the final copy and illustrated the works. They sent their writing to a company called “Student Treasures Publishing.” The company compiled the stories into one big book. The class received their copies on Thursday, Nov. 30. School officials say it was a great experience for the boys and girls to become published authors.
