The Drakes Branch Farmer’s Market is gearing up for its ninth season to provide Charlotte County and surrounding areas with fresh produce, crafts, and various products. 

Beginning April 19, the Drakes Branch Farmer’s Market will be operating on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pavilion in Drakes Branch. 

The weekly market will run from April 19 through Sept. 27.

The goal of the Farmer’s Market has been to promote local vendors so the community could have a one-stop shop experience” said market coordinator Julie Hamlett. “This year brings forth new changes to the Market in hopes that more community members will be able to have access to the shopping experience.”

Some of those changes Hamlett said are the days and times the market will be open. “We hope this change will better enhance the Market for all area patrons,” Hamlett said. 

In addition to the regular weekly market season, the the farmer’s market will have the following special markets operating from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

• Saturday, Oct. 19 – HARVEST MARKET

• Saturday, Nov. 9 – HOLIDAY MARKET AND VETERAN’S DAY PARADE

• Saturday, Dec. 14, – CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
