Shelby Walker, librarian at Randolph-Henry High School, hosted an end-of-semester auction on Thursday to celebrate another year of reading. Items sold included books, T-shirts, hats, toys, picture frames and lots of snacks. Once again, Noah Davis, of Carwile Auction Co., generously donated his time to introduce the students to how an auction works and sell all the items. For the second time, Gabrielle Farrar earned the highest number of points and enjoyed participating in the auction. Everyone had a wonderful time, according to Walker, who encouraged all students to read over the summer.
