The doors will open and residents will have a chance to experience Christmas like they did back in Revolutionary War times on Sunday, Dec. 1. Patrick Henry’s Red Hill will hold a Christmas Open House from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sponsored by the Patrick Henry Auxiliary, this event is free, offering guided tours of the beautifully decorated historic buildings, including Patrick Henry’s house, law office, and other significant structures. Each space will be adorned with holiday cheer, providing a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience the season’s charm as it might have been celebrated in the 18th century.

As visitors explore, they will be treated to complimentary hot mulled cider and homemade cookies, adding a delightful touch to the day’s festivities. For those looking to take home a special memento or gift, the gift shop will offer a 10% discount on all regular merchandise.

There is no need to register for this event; guests are welcome to arrive anytime during the Open House hours.

“We are thrilled to open our doors to the community for this festive occasion,” said Hope Marstin, CEO of Red Hill. “It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season and the rich history of Patrick Henry’s Red Hill.”
