One Keysville person is dead and Virginia State Police have been called in to investigate after a traffic accident on Union Grove Road in Lunenburg County. The incident took place on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 11:05 p.m. in the 1000 block of Union Grove Road. According to VSP Public Relations Coordinator Matt Demlein, a 2010 Ford SUV was traveling southbound on Union Grove Road when it went off of the left side of the road and struck a ditch.  The vehicle overturned onto its roof and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.

That driver, 36-year-old Michael O. Gravitte of Keysville, was found dead at the scene. Demlein said the cause of the crash is still unknown, but the case remains under investigation.
