Mrs. Dorothy Beatrice Jones Thompson, age 58 of Richmond, died in Richmond on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Hubert Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Louise Walker Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Ray Thompson, Sr. of the home; one daughter, Dareese Thompson of Richmond; two brothers, David Jones (Hester) of Lawrenceville and Hubert Jones, Jr. (Cheryl) of Stafford; four step-children, Darrell Thompson, Jr., Victoria R. Thompson, Jyra R. Thompson and Neketia R. Thompson; mother-in-law, Barbara Haskins; five sisters-in-law, Wanda (Steven) Jones, Patrice (Ronald) Sumpter, Desiree (Keith) Bradley, Shirell Rogers, and devoted sister-in-law, Renee (Percy) Truhart; brother-in-law, Albert (Alesia) Thompson, Sr. She was preceded in a step-son, Davon R. Thompson.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House with interment in the church cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com. Arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House.
