Barbara Wallace Hall, 86 of Drakes Branch, passed away at home surrounded by family on Feb. 11. She was born on July 2, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Rufus and Thelma Wallace of Drakes Branch. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

After graduating from Randolph Henry High School, she went on to become a registered nurse at Hollins University. In 1959 she met and married Ronald G Hall.

Barbara was known for her great sense of humor, her love and support for her family, and her kindness and compassion toward everyone she met. 

Barbara is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ronald G Hall; daughters, Regina Kline (Jay) of Suffolk, Tanger Simons of South Carolina, Terri Kinder of Drakes Branch, Melanie Minniti (Tony) of Drakes Branch; stepdaughter, Scarlett Morris (Phillip) of Lynchburg; six grandchildren: Heather Helvestine (Paul), Matthew Kline (Keisha), Adam Kinder, Chantay Kinder, Ryan Herman and Karma Simons and four siblings: William Wallace (Sharon), Doris Newcomb, Ginger Wallace and Jerry Wallace (Karen). 

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch. The Rev.  Dr. Jerry P. Jordan will be officiated. 

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville was in charge of arrangements.
