APRIL 26 

BOOK SALE – The Friends of the Charlotte County Library will hold a book sale and market on Saturday, April 26. That will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon at its Charlotte Court House location. The library is located at 112- 116 LeGrande Avenue.

FLORA FEST – The annual Flora Fest will take place on Saturday, April 26, running from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. That’ll be held at the Charlotte County Extension Office, located at 133 Legrande Avenue in Charlotte Court House. There will be both sun and share varieties of plant available for sale, with educational booths also on hand, as experts teach about plants and gardening. There will also be free children’s activities. 

APRIL 27

SUNDAY WORSHIP – Cullen Baptist Church, located at 202 Taro Road in Cullen, will hold services on Sunday, April 27. Sunday School starts at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. 

WOMEN’S DAY –  New Witt Baptist Church will observe Women’s Day with a program on Sunday, April 27. That will start at 3 p.m. with special guest Rev. Sheilah Bell from Praise 104.7 FM. Music will be rendered by the United Voices of Westwood Baptist Church. New Witt is located at 7469 Meherrin Road. 

MAY 4

PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY – First Baptist Church Wylliesburg will celebrate Pastor Opie Terrell’s 25th anniversary on May 4. That’ll take place at 11:30 a.m., with dinner after the service. 

CALENDAR: UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

WEEKLY WORSHIP – Charlotte Court House Methodist Church, located at 240 David Bruce Avenue, holds Sunday School every Sunday at 10 a.m., with worship right after at 11 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays. 

WEEKLY WORSHIP – Madisonville Presbyterian Church, located at 300 County Line Road in Cullen, holds Sunday School weekly at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. 

WEEKLY WORSHIP – Tabernacle Baptist Church will hold Sunday School every Sunday at 10 a.m. except 5th Sundays. Services start at 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Sunday of the month. 

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP – A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part. 

MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH – Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome. 

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 5104 Double Bridges Road in Meherrin. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Joe Reid at (808)-927-8910. 

ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON CHURCH — Hebron Church located at 111 Hebron Church Road in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.

CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
