Staunton River State Park to offer events

Staunton River State Park will hold various events on Saturday.
The park will begin will “Canoeing Essentials” from 10-11 a.m. Participants will learn how to canoe on the park’s 23-acre lake.
A $5 fee per person covers the canoe, paddles and life vest rentals.
“Fish Faces” will begin at noon and last an hour. Participants will learn about fish habitats, species and other facts on Buggs Island Lake. A $2 craft material fee is required to take the class.
The park will hold a “Skin and Bones” program from 2-3 p.m. at the visitor’s center.
Nature’s Bingo will be played from 4-5 p.m. along the River Bank Trail.
