Mary Jane Cook, 74, of Charlotte Court House, died on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her residence.  She was the wife of Deacon Earley Cook. She was the daughter of the late Florine P. Terry, stepfather, William Lee Terry and Jesse Marable.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Deacon Earley L. Cook Jr. of the home; seven children, Maretta Jeffress (Juan) of the home, Sandra Love (Kendall) of Charlotte Court House, Roger L. Allen (Octavia) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Angela Cook of Drakes Branch, Earley Victor Cook of Charlotte Court House, Christopher Cook (Lucille) of Durham, North Carolina and James Cook of Saxe; god-daughter, Phinon Hurt (Bryan) of Cullen; devoted daughter-in-law, Carmalita Escoto; sister, Rosa M. Roberson of Cocoa Beach, Florida; one half-brother, Sidney Marable of Richmond; five sisters-in-law, Anniebelle, Charbeth, Geraldine, Gracie and Irene; two brothers-in-law, John and Wesley; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and devoted caregivers, Ruth Faulkner and Brittany Walton.

The funeral service was held Friday, October 21 at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House.
