Last week the Drakes Branch Fire Department responded to a wreck on Route 47. The driver, who was driving alone, flipped their SUV and was later checked out on scene with no major injuries. “Air bags and the seatbelt saved him,” said Drakes Branch Fire Department Chief Kenny Tharpe.
