June 27-29
REVIVAL, 7 p.m. prayer and praise and 7:30 p.m. worship service at Shiloh Baptist Church. The Rev. Alfred Chandler, pastor of St. Matthews Baptist Church, will be the guest minister. Guest choirs will be in attendance each night. All are invited.
June 30
ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at St. Douglas Baptist Church, 151 Nelson Lane. There will be different preachers each night. All are welcome. The Rev. Wendell Brown is pastor.
ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. at Lone Oak Baptist Church. Different choirs will render spiritual songs each night. The Rev. Isaiah Hurt, of Keysville, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist and Gill Hill Baptist, will be the guest speaker. Everyone is welcome to come and worship.
July 1
JULY KICKOFF, 6-8 p.m. at the Pamplin Depot Freight Room. All proceeds will benefit the Pamplin Area Legacy Supporters.
FUN DAY, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Luke COGIC, 95 Arvin St. in Keysville. The event will feature games, food and crafts. Everyone is welcome.
SERVICE CELEBRATION, 3 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Keysville. The event will celebrate Deacon Willie Morton for 50 years of service. Rev. Vaughn will deliver the word and a meal will be served immediately after.
July 2
HOMECOMING SERVICE, 11:30 a.m. at St. Douglas Baptist Church, 151 Nelson Lane. The Rev. Wendell Brown, pastor, will bring the morning message. Dinner will be served. All are welcome.
July 4
QUILT RAFFLE, sponsored by Charlotte County Meals on wheels. Drawing will be held July 4. A hand-quilted throw (42 inches by 57 inches) made by South Central Parish Quilters will be on a rotating display at county libraries, banks and Sheldon’s. Tickets are $1 or six for $5 and can be purchased from Denise at the library, from the Charlotte County Meals on Wheels office at (434) 736-8441 or any board member.
STEW, 11 a.m. at The Eureka Community Center, 4757 George Washington Hwy. in Keysville. Beef, chicken, brunswick and sheep will be available. Cost is $6.50 per quart. Cakes, pies, desserts and drinks will also be available for sale. Proceeds will benefit the Community Center.
