George A. ‘Jiggs’ Adams

George A. “Jiggs” Adams, 85, of 657 Colemans Ferry Road, Saxe, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy T. Adams; sons, Terry Ray Adams (Jeanne) of Chase City, and G. Malcolm Adams, of Keysville; daughters, Mitzi A. Palmer (Ray) of Saxe, and Susan J. Adams of Keysville; one brother, Billy Adams of Drakes Branch; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther A. and Pattie R. Adams; one granddaughter; four brothers; and two sisters.

“Jiggs” was a retired employee of Westpoint Stevens of 52 years.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. “Jiggs” was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, and baseball.

Reverend Justin Hicks conducted the funeral service on Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Lebanon United Methodist Church, Drakes Branch, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bacon District Fire Department or the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, is serving the family.
