Post honors war dead, those missing

On Friday, Charlotte County’s VFW Post 8902 hosted its annual POW-MIA Day of Remembrance, which allowed veterans and members of the community to come together to remember servicemen and women who suffered as prisoners of war and those who were reported as missing in action. We commend the post for holding such an honorable event, and for reminding our community of the sacrifices those in the armed forces make daily to protect our liberties and rights as American citizens.
