Social Services focuses on child abuse prevention

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and each year there is a focus on an ideal or theme for those that collaborate to improve the mental, physical, emotional, and social well-being of children and their families.

This year’s theme is Building Together: Prevention in Partnership. The Charlotte County Department of Social Services and Social Services Board work together closely to build awareness, provide education, resources and services not only to strengthen children and families but to the county they serve. With this theme in mind, some members gathered for a photo to symbolize their continued efforts and dedication to their entire community.
