Friends of the Library present books

Recently, the kindergarten students at Phenix Elementary received a big treat. Maggie Allbee, Director of the Charlotte County Public Library, and Ree Cathey, board member, presented the kindergarten students with a book on behalf of the Friends of the Library. The book, We Don’t Eat Our Classmates, was given to each of the students and each copy had a nameplate with the child’s name. In this day and age, it is as important as ever, to value books and instill the love of reading to young children.
