Nannie Mae Jones obituaryNannie Mae Jones, age 63 of Phenix, passed away on Dec. 24 in Farmville. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Jones and Myrtle Lee Harvey Jones.

She is survived by her son, William Jones of the home; sister, Sallie Morton of Phenix; brothers, Fred Jones of Chesterfield, Jesse Jones of Phenix, Leroy Jones (Vanessa) of Rustburg and Ronald (Kathilla) of Lynchburg; granddaughter, Elaina Jones; five aunts, Eva Snead of Richmond, Betty Snead of Randolph, Beatrice Jones of Lynchburg, Mable Carter of New York, and Helen Jackson of Appomattox; uncles, Elijah Harvey (Bernice) of Charlotte Court House and Cecil Harvey of Appomattox; nieces and nephews, Charletha, Monica, James, Katrina, Kimberly, Christina, April, Johnathan, Kendall, Aaron, Brandon, Raven and Shonda; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 31, at noon at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in Brookneal with interment in the church cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com. Arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Brookneal.
