William Wallace Clark

William Wallace Clark, 86 of Phenix, passed away on Oct. 28, in Charlottesville. He was the son of the late Lenwood Clark and Lottie Cabel Clark.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ruth “Tinker” Walker; brothers, Clifton Clark, Robert Clark “Boogie” and James Howard Clark “Honey”; sister, Mary Clark Copeland; grandson, Jerrod Spencer and granddaughter, Aviance Mapunda.

He is survived by two daughters, Belinda Clark of Phenix and Elnora Davis (Roy) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two sons, William Glenn Clark of San Antonio, Texas and William Carter of Jackson, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Clyde Clark of Phenix and Bobby Clark of New York; sisters, Georgia Thomas of Dallas, Texas and Geneva Younger of Roanoke; son-in-law, David Walker Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m., at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phenix with interment in the church cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
