Herman Brown

Herman Brown, 85 of Saxe, passed away on June 25, in Keysville. He was the son of the late Oscar Brown and Lena Green Brown.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Oscar Jr., Joseph, William and Berman; sisters, Annie Mae and Estelle; daughter, Yvonne Williams; son, Keith High; grandson, Keith Jr. and faithful niece, Connie Walton.

Herman leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife of almost forty years, Lorraine Dailey Brown; his daughter, Lisa (Kendrick) Holloway; sons, Herman Brown Jr. and Richard Jeffress; two dedicated grandsons, Keynan Copeland and Thomas Brooks III; loving granddaughter, Quiana Brown; sixteen more grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, John Henry; sisters, Ruby and Betty; brothers-in-law, Norris (Ruth) Dailey and Howard Dailey; sister-in-law, Rosa Skipper; great-nephew, Patrick Morton – who he raised for many years; loyal friends, William Hall and Nathaniel Goode; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, July 4, at 12 p.m. at Brown’s Memorial Cemetery in Saxe. Condolences may be expressed a  www.JeffressFuneralHome.com. Arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House.
