William Judson Martin

William Judson Martin, of Keysville, went to be with the Lord at home surrounded by his family, Thursday, May 20. He was 92 years old. He was the son of the late Kermit Martin and Lou Ellen Dix Martin.

William is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Dorothy Adams Martin; two sons, Tommy Martin of Dillwyn and Leonard Martin (Carolyn) of Keysville; five grandchildren, Timmy Martin (Rachel), Suzanne Piercy, Stephanie Sturgis (Michael), Amy Carriker (Bryan) and Adam Martin (Roxanne); eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. William loved the Lord and his family very much. He was always a hard-working farmer. William was a member and a Deacon of Friendship Baptist Church.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 23, at Cool Spring Christian Church Cemetery, Keysville. Public viewing was from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville.
