Hatfield ‘McCoy’ Franklin

Hatfield “McCoy” Franklin, 89 of Cullen, passed away on March 21 in Cullen. He was the son of the late John L. Franklin Sr. and R. Elizabeth Wade Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony McCoy Franklin; siblings, John L. Franklin Jr., R. Eloise Waters, Harold Franklin Sr. and Clarice Nance.

He leaves to cherish memories, wife, Ruby Franklin; daughter, Resiah Scott; grandchildren, Ryan Scott, Dana Scott (Joshua), Shakeem Cox (Mario) and Davontie Franklin; six great-grandsons; brother, Earl Franklin; sisters-in-law, Doris Franklin and Annie Franklin; devoted niece, Kim Meier and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in Charlotte Court House with interment in St. Andrews Baptist Church cemetery in Cullen. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
