Wade Stephen Goodwin Jr.

Wade Stephen Goodwin, Jr., age 37 of Red Oak, passed away on Feb.12 at his residence. He was the son of Mrs. Sandra Webb Henriques and the late Mr. Wade Goodwin, Sr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Goodwin, Jr.; mother-in-law, Carolyn S. Jackson and step-father-in-law, Robert L. Jackson and father-in-law, Clarence Baker.

He is survived by his wife Justina Goodwin; two children, TaQuresha Escobedo (Jacob) and Michael Jennings; his mother, Sandra Henriques; stepmother, Brenda Patterson; grandmother, Linda Webb; his brother, Keith Palletier (Tonia); five sisters, Tara Goodwin, Leigha Goodwin, Brianna Henriques, Sammy Patterson and Kimberly Patterson; four foster brothers, Charles Watson (Lisa), Wanye Vonney (Justine), Phillip Flippen (Joann) and John Vonney; two uncles, Carl Goodwin (Debbie), Adam Goodwin (Nicole); two very special in-laws, Shekeater Medley (John) and Susan Chambers; sisters-in-law, Amy Baker, Tara Dalton (Charles), Michelle Johnson (Jimmy), Marshelle Dodson (Terrence), Beatrice Bouie; three brothers-in-law, Kevin Baker, Roger Shores (Michael); five very close friends, Woody Smith, Michael Daniels, Kevin Eames, Curtis Moore and Clay Markle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in Brookneal with interment at Ridgeway Cemetery in Aspen. Public viewing will begin on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 12 noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Brookneal.
