Hattie Spencer PughHattie Spencer Pugh, 86 of Appomattox, passed away on March 2 in Farmville. She was the daughter of the late Willis Spencer and Lena Thompson Spencer. She was the wife of the late Wilbert Pugh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James, Willie Mae, Alfredrick, Lena Anne, Russell and Phyllis.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Robinson (Vince) and Patricia Pugh; grandchildren, Kevin Allen Sr., Derick (Cheryl) and Alquette; great grandchildren, Knovah, Kevin Jr., Queshan, Shantae, Quemario, Tanae, Jakira and Rashan; sister, Annie Spencer Clark; two brothers, Theodore Spencer, Thomas Spencer (Mary) and Willis Spencer (Penny); sisters-in-law, Lucy Pugh Washington and Avon Pugh; god child, Carmalita Escoto; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 11, at 1 p.m., at Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Brookneal with interment in St. Douglas Baptist Church Cemetery in Charlotte Court House. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
