One man dead after Tuesday wreck on Route 360

One person is dead after an accident that happened Tuesday morning in Charlotte County. Virginia State Police officials say the incident took place on Route 360, around 10:25 a.m.

According to State Police, a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara was heading eastbound on Route 360 near Bacon School Road. Suddenly it went off the road to the left, overcorrected and went off the road to the right. 

The Grand Vitara then overturned and hit a tree. The vehicle’s driver, 60-year-old Theodore F. Johnson, died at the scene. The Prospect resident was wearing a seatbelt, State Police said, adding the cause of the wreck is under investigation.
