MEN’S DAY, 4 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Meherrin. The Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr., pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Petersburg, will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his male chorus and church family. All are invited. The church is located at 14167 Farmville Road.

BEEKEEPERS MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office. Lorien R. Koontz, private lands wildlife biologist, will speak on what we can plant for honeybees. YOUTH DAY SERVICE, 11 a.m. at St. Level Baptist Church in Clarksville. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Mary Knighten, of Greater Deliverance Tabernacle Roxboro, with St. Level Baptist Church reunion choir rendering the music. The public is invited.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, at Bethel Baptist Church. Age two-fifth grade will meet Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-noon and the youth will meet Sunday at 4 p.m. and Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8 p.m. The commencement service will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the church.
