MARCH 28 

HOLY THURSDAY SERVICE — Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, located at 1101 Mt. Carmel Road in Brookneal, will have a Holy Thursday service on Thursday, March 28. The service begins at 6 p.m. 

MARCH 29 

HOLY FRIDAY SERVICE — Phenix United Methodist Church, located at 225 Charlotte Street in Phenix, will hold a Holy Friday Service on Friday, March 29 at 6 p.m. 

MARCH 31 

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE — Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 1303 Mt. Zion Road in Red House, will hold Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, March 31 beginning at 6 p.m. There will be breakfast and Sunday School following morning worship. 

RESURRECTION SUNDAY SERVICE — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold a Resurrection Sunday Service at 7 a.m., with breakfast following after in the Fellowship Hall. 

SUNRISE SERVICE — The Briery Presbyterian Church will host a community Sunrise Service on Sunday, March 31, beginning at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast. The church is located at 181 Briery Road in Keysville. 

APRIL 2 

BEEKEEPERS MEETING — The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers will meet on Tuesday, April 2, beginning at 7 p.m. That’ll take place at the Prince Edward County Extension Office, located at 100 Dominion Drive in Farmville. Keith White of Honey and the Hive will speak on Sustainable Beekeeping, including queens, splits and nucs. Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome. APRIL 3 

MUSEUM OPENS — The Central High Museum will open for tours on Wednesday, April 3, from noon to 5 p.m. The church is located at 401 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. 

APRIL 6 

MUSEUM OPENS — The Central High Museum will open for tours on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 401 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. 

APRIL 20 

MUSEUM OPENS — The Central High Museum will open for tours on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 401 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House.

CAR CLUB MEETS — The Heart of Virginia Classic Auto Club meets the second Monday each month at Merk’s Place in Farmville. Eat in at 6 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m. Cruise ins are held on the third Saturday from April through October in the parking lot by Tractor Supply in Farmville. 5 p.m. till dusk. Any car owner is welcome to join the club or bring their car to the cruise ins.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part. 

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor. 

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome. 

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 5104 Double Bridges Road in Meherrin. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Joe Reid at (808)-927-8910. 

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor. 

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice. 

HEBRON CHURCH — Hebron Church located at 111 Hebron Church Road in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday. 

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
