Staff ‘packs the bus’ full of supplies

Hundreds of families received help this past weekend from Charlotte County Public Schools. The district’s ‘Pack the Bus” project. School officials estimated that more than four hundred packages were picked up by parents and delivered.
“Thanks to our sponsors for their generous monetary and supply contributions, we collected an incredible amount of school supplies for our students,” said Karen Thompson. She works for the district as an instructional data coach. “Your support means the world to us and will make a significant difference in the lives of many children as they prepare for the upcoming school year. We couldn’t have done it without you!”
Bank of Charlotte, Oakview Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill Baptist Church, Tri-County Ford, Hermon Presbyterian Church, Charlotte County Education Foundation, Inc., Salem Baptist Church, Village Presbyterian Church, Eureka Baptist Church, Spring Creek Baptist Church, New Hope Methodist Church, Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Robin & Wayne Lewis, Christina Alonzo, White’s Building Supply, Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Phenix United Methodist Church, Rocky Branch Baptist Church, St. Michael’s Baptist Church, WOW Chapter 179, Morrison Grove Baptist Church, Antioch Baptist Church, and Walmart-Lynchburg all helped in some form or fashion.
